It is possible to share your internet connection with several devices, therefore allowing all the connected devices to access internet. This can be very useful in cases where you want to use one device’s data bundles to access the net from other devices like laptops or tablets.
The requirement for you to set an internet access point also called a portable hot-spot is that the devices to connect must be Wi-Fi enabled or physically connected via a USB cable.
Internet connection (mobile data) on the device where you are setting up the hot spot must also be enabled.
To set up the access point, follow the following simple steps:
From your phone go to:
Settings -> more settings ->Tethering and portable hotspot and then press on portable Wi-Fi hotspot and your access point (AP) will be available for other devices to use.
The device from where the portable hot spot is set up must also enable mobile data.
To avoid unauthorized access to your hot spot, you can add allowed devices by specifying a device name and MAC address.
